Membership Services

How Does Oregon Feed and Grain Serve Its Members?

MEETINGS: The association holds one Annual Convention in the spring of the year at which time pertinent speakers are engaged to bring the membership abreast of the latest information in various fields of interest. At this time the association holds its annual business meeting, election of officers, etc.

COMMITTEES: The Oregon Feed and Grain Association has committees representing the feed industry, legislation, membership, nutrition, scholarship, by-laws and nominations for officers and board members. These committees meet when necessary to conduct business. The association Executive Committee consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Immediate past President, and Executive Secretary.

COMMUNICATIONS: The OFGA office disseminates information by email to all paid members as it is available, as well as important announcements.  General information is also sent from time to time to the larger group of past and future contacts known to the association office. An annual Membership Directory is prepared and sent to all members once a year by the association office.  Every effort is being made to communicate electronically to minimize postage costs.

LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY: The association office works with lobbyists and others on issues of concern at the state, regional and national legislative levels.  Members are encouraged to notify the association office of any legislative issues of interest to the Feed and Grain industry.  Plans are being made to incorporate a tracking program for legislation to include in a future OFGA web page.

SCHOLARSHIP: The association gives an annual $1,000 scholarship to a college student who is a dependent of a member or employee of a member.
